After ending the 2023 season with 7 wins and 10 loses the Chicago Bears finished in last place in the NFC North. Throughout the season there were a lot of ups and downs. But one thing is certain: the offensive play calling was horrendous. The Bears NEED a new offensive coordinator after parting ways with Luke Getsy on January 10th. After about 12 interviews with Kliff Kingsbury, Greg Roman, Liam Coen, Zac Robinson, Shane Waldron and more, the Chicago Bears and Ryan Poles hired Shane Waldron as the new Offensive Coordinator. Shane Waldron has been coaching in the NFL for 8 years (Redskins, Rams and Seahawks). In his last 2 years with the Seahawks, they finished the two seasons 9-8. Based on what Waldron did in Seattle, I think he will create an offense that revolves around the quarterback's strengths. This leads to me thinking the Bears will get a star WR2 in free agency or in the draft because the Seahawks had 3 solid wide receivers (Metcalf, Locket, Njigba). Although the Bears are in a tough situation, (keeping Fields or drafting Williams) I think Waldron will excel as a coach and turn the Bears into a top 10 offense in the NFL no matter who's at quarterback….
